Since 1959
Founded in 1959, the Lakeland Officials Association (LOA) has a long-standing tradition of excellence in sports officiating throughout Southeast Wisconsin. Our mission is to:
Promote uniform rule interpretation across all levels of play.
Provide quality training and mentorship for officials.
Foster a community of integrity, professionalism, and respect in sports.
Our members officiate a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, softball, and more—serving youth, high school, collegiate, and adult leagues. Whether you’re a new official or a seasoned veteran, LOA offers opportunities to grow, connect, and make an impact in your community.
Membership & Training
Joining LOA opens the door to professional development and camaraderie. Members gain access to:
Regular meetings and clinics to sharpen skills and stay current on rule changes.
Evaluations and mentorship to help you qualify for higher-level games, including state tournaments.
Networking opportunities with fellow officials, schools, and game assignors.
Discounted officiating equipment through vendor partnerships.
We also provide up-to-date training materials, including rulebooks, case study manuals, and online resources. LOA members are encouraged to join the NFHS (National Federation of High School Sports) and the WIAA (Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association) for additional education and licensing support.
